Established in 1987, the OCA San Mateo Chapter is one of the four chapters in the Bay Area and one of the seven chapters in California. OCA (Organization of Chinese Americans) is a national nonprofit nonpartisan, civil rights advocacy and educational organization dedicated to embracing the hopes and aspirations and advancing the social, political and economic well being of Americans of Chinese and Asian descent.
March 2009 Newsletter The newsletter can be seen here and under the Newsletters tab. New Position: Executive Director OCA is looking for an experienced and focused professional to serve as Executive Director at the National Headquarters in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate would have 5-8 years of work experience in a professional environment, preferably serving an Asian-American community, familiarity with APA social justice issues, strong organizational and planning skills in managing a non-profit organization, and most importantly a strong commitment and passion for OCA's mission. VOTER REGISTRATION
Registering to vote is the first step every citizen takes to become an eligible voter. You may register by mailing a completed Voter Registration Form, to the Elections office. Forms are available in person at public libraries, city and county offices, California Department of Motor Vehicles offices, and at U.S. Post Offices. You may also call county voter registration office at (650) 312-5222 or complete the Voter Registration form on-line by going to http://www.SOS.ca.gov/elections/votereg1.html.
