2007 Burlingame Centennial Celebration The Burlingame Centennial Celebration was held on Saturday, June 2nd. Many people watched as 25 OCA and YOCA members marched in the organization's newly designed shirts while carrying an OCA banner. While marching, OCA members also passed out fortune cookies to spectators. In addition, the Kei Lun Martial Arts Lion Dance Team joined the marchers with their team of four lions, two Buddahs and various musicians. The team brought wild entertainment to the parade with their bright colors, clashing cymbals and drumming. So iconic and unique to the audience were the lions and Buddahs that many Burlingame locals stopped them to pose for photographs. Some of these photos can be viewed on Burlingame's website at www.burlingame.org. Of the 2000 parade participants, several spectators agreed that OCA was a highly entertaining group. Of the event, board member Alden Soohoo said, OCA San Mateo was proud to underscore our presence in the County's landscape just as we did almost 13 years ago in the city of San Mateo's Centennial Parade.
